OUR CHURCH’S MISSION STATEMENT

“As Christ-led disciples, we are committed to spreading the good News of Jesus Christ through our service to others.”
THE ADMINISTRATIVE COUNCIL HAS APPROVED THE FOLLOWING PRACTICES, SO WE MAY FULFILL OUR MISSION:
1. Radical Hospitality
a. We shall use the services of our denomination to develop & publish advertisements in the local media, especially at Christmas time.
b. We shall prepare a brochure of our church’s ministry for circulation throughout our communities.
c. We shall obtain a list of residents who have recently moved into the area, so that we may make contact with them.
d. We shall gather our historical items and make them available to be viewed by visitors.
e. We shall give further consideration toward the erection of a ramp for the handicapped.
2. Passionate Worship
a. We shall circulate invitations to our neighborhood for special Worship Services.
b. We shall introduce taped music to assist persons in their preparation for Worship before the Prelude.
c. We shall reinstitute the lighting of the Altar Candles by an acolyte at the start of the Worship Service.
d. We shall invite members of the congregation who desire special prayers to come forward and receive them during worship.
3. Intentional Faith Development
a. We shall invite specially recognized individuals to share their Christian witness to the younger generation.
b. We shall develop some (bible) Studies which may be done at home for members of our congregation & shall use the internet in this process, where possible.
4. Risk-taking Mission & Service
a. We shall attempt to develop a winter recreational program for the youth of our community.
b. We shall investigate the participation in a neighboring project which would involve young people.
